Blacklist remediation checklist
A listing is a symptom. Fix the cause before you request removal.
Confirm the listing
- Match the exact IP or domain scope shown in the alert.
- Note the list operator and any evidence URL provided.
Fix the root cause
- Stop problematic sending paths immediately.
- Review compromised accounts, open relays, and sudden volume spikes.
- Correct authentication and bounce handling where relevant.
Request delisting
- Follow the operator process only after the issue is resolved.
- Document what changed so the request is credible.
Prevent recurrence
- Keep monitoring enabled so new listings surface quickly.
